Crystal Ridge (explore again)
Icefields Parkway, Alberta
April 7, 2001

Distance: 9.2 km
Cumulative Elevation Gain: 590 m

A week after we discovered crystals on an unnamed ridge, we returned to explore further. This time we ventured northwest before turning around and going up as slope east of where we started.

When the group stopped for lunch, I removed my snowshoes and started to scramble up to the ridge crest. Before I could make it, however, the group finished their lunch. They passed under me and continued traversing the slope. I had to hurry to catch up to them.

But before I could reach the top of the ridge, the group moved on

I took this photo before dropping down and rejoining the group
