Mist Mountain
Kananaskis, Alberta
September 12, 1999

Our approach differed from the one in the Scrambles book. It's likely we followed the hiking route outlined in Kananaskis Country Trail Guide, but I didn't lead the trip nor did I pay much attention.

We followed a crude trail to the col at 498010 and ascended the SW basin. This route enabled us to enjoy the warm springs on the lower east slopes (494016) after we bagged the peak.

Postscript: I made a more detailed account when I did Mist Mountain in 2009.
