Rummel Lake
Kananaskis, Alberta
December 26, 2001
Dinah and I took advantage of Boxing Day for a quiet snowshoe trip to Rummel Lake (i.e. no crowds). We followed the cutline which, although straightforward for navigating, had it's share minor detours due to deadfall and steep-sided drainages. Because of the tree canopy, the trip was largely void of good views. For any vistas, it would have been better to push on up above the treeline in the valley. But we were satisfied to reach the lake.
