Ridge" (explore again)
Icefields Parkway, Alberta
April 7, 2001
A week after we discovered crystals on an unnamed ridge, we returned to explore further. This time we ventured northwest before turning around and going up as slope east of where we started,
When the group stopped for lunch, I removed my snowshoes and tried to scramble to the ridge crest. Before I could make it, however, the group finished their lunch. They passed under me and continued traversing the slope. I had to hurry to catch up to them.
We gather in a rock fissure.
Another view of the fissure
When the group stops for lunch, I start climbing, hoping to reach the crest.
Before I can reach the top of the ridge, the group moves.
I take this photo before dropping down and rejoining the group.

Back on deep snow, we put our snowshoes on.
