Turtle Mountain
Crowsnest Pass, Alberta
June 15, 2002
Turtle Mountain is an enjoyable, straightforward climb. However, I don't advise doing this when the saddle is under snow. As I discovered, fissures hidden under the snow make it dangerous, not unlike traversing a glacier. I fell through the snow at one point, but fortunately a small ledge stopped me from going to the bottom.

The way is obvious!

Some interesting fractured boulders along the way
